Co-Diagnostics expands South Asia territory to include four new markets

March 20, 2026 8:01 AM

Co-Diagnostics Inc. (NASDAQ: CODX) announced that CoSara Diagnostics, its joint venture with Ambalal Sarabhai Enterprises Limited, has signed an agreement to expand its commercial and distribution territory across South Asia to include Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

The expansion increases CoSara's addressable market in the region to an estimated $13 billion, based on internal analyses and third-party market data. CoSara plans to commercialize the PCR Pro point-of-care instrument and tests, along with the SARAGENE product line across these markets, subject to regulatory approvals in each jurisdiction.

As part of the expansion, CoSara is establishing distribution channels in the newly added markets, evaluating regulatory pathways, identifying customer segments, and engaging regional distribution partners.

"South Asia represents a large and rapidly growing market for molecular diagnostics, with significant need for easily accessible, non-invasive, quick and reliable testing solutions," said Mohal Sarabhai, CEO of CoSara.

Co-Diagnostics CEO Dwight Egan stated that the expansion reflects the company's strategy of establishing regional infrastructure ahead of product commercialization, building local manufacturing and distribution capabilities in key regions including the United States, South Asia, and the Middle East and North Africa.

CoSara plans to host a virtual distributor information session in the second quarter of 2026, followed by an in-person distributor meeting and training event later in the summer.

The Co-Dx PCR platform, including associated tests, remains subject to review by the FDA and other regulatory bodies and is not yet available for sale.
