CVS Health Corporation (NYSE: CVS) announced that its board of directors elected John E. Gallina to serve as a director, effective March 19, 2026.

Gallina, 66, previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Elevance Health, Inc. (NYSE: ELV) from June 2016 through November 2023. He then worked as executive vice president and advisor to the CEO until his retirement in May 2024.

During his nearly 30-year career at Elevance, Gallina held various finance and audit positions, including chief accounting officer and chief risk officer. Before joining Elevance, he worked as a senior audit manager and certified public accountant at Coopers & Lybrand.

Gallina holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from The Ohio State University.
