Stellantis EVs gain access to Tesla's supercharger network
Stellantis (NYSE: STLA) announced that owners of electric vehicles from its Dodge, Jeep, Ram, FIAT and Maserati brands can now access more than 27,500 Tesla Supercharger locations across North America.
The access requires a Free2move Charge North American Charging System (NACS)-CCS1 DC adapter, available for purchase at Stellantis low-emission vehicle certified dealerships and Mopar.com. Customers can also use Tesla "Magic Dock" Superchargers, which feature built-in adapters.
Compatible vehicles include the Dodge Charger Daytona, Jeep Wagoneer S, upcoming Jeep Recon, Ram ProMaster EV, FIAT 500e, and three Maserati Folgore models spanning model years 2024-2026. The company stated that only Stellantis-approved NACS adapters can be used with Tesla Superchargers.
Stellantis customers manage charging through the Free2move Charge app, which locates available Tesla Supercharger stations and other public charging networks, including IONNA Rechargeries, and handles payment processing.
The 2027 Dodge Charger Daytona will be the first Stellantis model to launch with a native NACS charging port, enabling direct charging at Tesla Supercharger stations without an adapter.
The announcement represents part of Stellantis' broader charging strategy as the automotive industry moves toward electric vehicles. Tesla's Supercharger network represents one of the largest fast-charging networks in North America.
