ZipRecruiter (NYSE: ZIP) announced the launch of its ChatGPT application, allowing job seekers to search for employment opportunities directly within the ChatGPT platform.

The app enables users to specify job search criteria including salary requirements, location preferences, remote work options, and experience level to receive matched job listings from ZipRecruiter's marketplace. Job seekers can access the service by typing "@ziprecruiter" followed by their search parameters in a ChatGPT conversation.

"Job search doesn't have to happen in the traditional paradigm of a job site," said Ian Siegel, co-founder and CEO of ZipRecruiter. "Bringing ZipRecruiter into generative AI tools opens a novel way to drive conversations between job seekers and employers."

The application functions through a four-step process: users connect the app from ChatGPT's app library, initiate searches using specific commands, refine results based on preferences, and view detailed job listings that redirect to ZipRecruiter for applications.

Users can narrow search results by specifying distance requirements, employment type, posting date, and other criteria. The app provides access to job listings from ZipRecruiter's marketplace, with the option to view complete job details and apply through the ZipRecruiter platform.

The service is now available to ChatGPT users and represents ZipRecruiter's expansion into AI-powered job discovery channels. The integration allows employers to extend their job posting reach through the ChatGPT platform while providing job seekers with an alternative search method outside traditional job site interfaces.
