Genasys receives outdoor warning system orders from Sedona, Arizona

March 19, 2026 9:01 AM

Genasys Inc. (NASDAQ: GNSS) announced orders for outdoor warning systems from the City of Sedona, Arizona. The competitively bid orders were funded by Coconino County through a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant and additional funds approved by the Sedona City Council.

The Acoustics systems will be installed in Uptown Sedona, located in the city's entertainment and tourist district. The city will have primary control over the systems, which can be operated individually or as a group, while Coconino County Emergency Management will maintain backup access through its countywide notification network.

The outdoor warning systems provide voice messages in multiple languages and can continue operating when power and cellular networks fail through solar power, battery backup, and satellite connectivity. The systems are designed to communicate with people who have not signed up for mobile alerts during emergencies.

"Our Acoustics systems deliver highly intelligible voice messages in multiple languages over long distances," said Genasys CEO Richard Danforth. "In addition to sounding sirens, Acoustics audible voice broadcasts tell people what is happening and what they need to do to stay safe."

The information is based on a company press release. Genasys describes itself as a provider of protective communications solutions, with products covering more than 155 million people in all 50 states and over 100 countries worldwide.
