Aditxt names Jeff Busch CEO of Ignite Proteomics subsidiary
Aditxt Inc. (NASDAQ: ADTX) announced the appointment of Jeff Busch as chief executive officer of its subsidiary Ignite Proteomics LLC, according to a company statement.
Ignite Proteomics operates a precision oncology platform that measures active proteins in tumors to help oncologists select targeted therapies for individual patients. The company was recently acquired by Aditxt and has Medicare reimbursement for its services.
Busch previously founded and served as chairman and former CEO of Chiron Real Estate Inc., formerly Global Medical REIT. He holds degrees from New York University and Emory University and previously served in two presidential administrations, including as a delegate to the United Nations in Geneva.
As CEO, Busch will lead Ignite's commercial expansion and evaluate strategic growth and financing alternatives. "With approximately 40% of cancer drugs not working for the patients they are prescribed to, Ignite's assay is designed to help physicians identify the right drug for the right patient at the right time," Busch said in the statement.
Aditxt CEO Amro Albanna said the appointment reflects the company's Discovery, Development and Deployment model. The company describes itself as a social innovation platform that operates four programs focused on autoimmunity, cancer and early disease detection, infectious diseases and women's health.
The information is based on a press release statement from Aditxt.
