U.S. Army selects EagleNXT eBee VISION drone systems for training
AgEagle Aerial Systems Inc. (NYSE: UAVS), operating as EagleNXT, announced that the U.S. Army has selected its eBee VISION unmanned aircraft system for acquisition to support training programs. The Army will purchase two eBee VISION systems for hands-on unmanned systems training, operator proficiency development, and integration exercises.
The eBee VISION is a fixed-wing drone that complies with the National Defense Authorization Act and appears on the Blue UAS Cleared List. The system offers up to 90 minutes of flight endurance and provides real-time high-resolution video and data transmission capabilities. The drone features a portable, backpack-compatible design for field deployment.
"We're thrilled that the Army has selected our eBee Vision as a platform to integrate tactical uncrewed system training into its ground force doctrine and operations for increased readiness," said Bill Irby, CEO of EagleNXT.
EagleNXT states this acquisition builds on previous sales of eBee VISION systems to U.S. Army units, including sales to opposition force elements at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Germany, and sales of eBee TAC tactical mapping drones to Army forces.
The company describes the eBee VISION as optimized for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. The system is designed to support training scenarios including UAS employment, real-time data analysis, operator certification, and integration with manned aviation platforms.
EagleNXT reports that its platforms have conducted more than one million flights globally across defense, public safety, agriculture, infrastructure, and environmental monitoring applications. The information is based on a company press release.
