BNP Paribas Exane Upgrades MasterCard (MA) to Outperform, 'Dusting Off Our DCFs'
BNP Paribas Exane analyst Alexandre Faure upgraded MasterCard (NYSE: MA) from Neutral to Outperform with a price target of $600.00.
The analyst comments "Payment Services has faced a deluge of challenges recently, from regulation and perceived AI risk to disappointing results, x402 payments, and heightened macro uncertainty. They have de-rated c20% YTD - as much as Software. With valuations moving down rapidly and adverse themes piling up, we reverse-DCF current prices to challenge what mid- and long-term earnings risks are priced in. Visa and Mastercard discount unreasonably bearish assumptions: we upgrade MA to OP ."
