MSG Entertainment and Sphere Entertainment appoint Allen Lo as chief legal officer
Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (NYSE: MSGE) and Sphere Entertainment Co. (NYSE: SPHR) announced the appointment of Allen Lo as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for both companies, effective March 30.
Lo brings more than 30 years of legal experience in technology and media industries to the role. He will oversee corporate and business legal affairs for both companies and report to Jim Dolan, who serves as Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of both entities.
Most recently, Lo served as Vice President, Legal and Deputy General Counsel at Meta, where he provided legal counsel and managed global intellectual property matters across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and other business units. He joined Meta in 2017.
Prior to Meta, Lo held positions at Google as Deputy General Counsel for Patents and IP Litigation, focusing on intellectual property matters related to Android and mobile strategy. He also served as Deputy General Counsel and Vice President of Legal Affairs at Juniper Networks for 11 years, where he was the company's second attorney hired.
Lo began his career at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office before joining intellectual property law firm Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner.
"As a leader he has handled high-profile corporate and business legal matters, and his expertise will be an important addition to our Legal team in support of both companies' strategic initiatives and long-term growth," Dolan said in the announcement.
Lo earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University. He serves on the Board of Visitors at Georgetown University Law Center.
