CrowdStrike receives FedRAMP High authorization for XIoT security platform
CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) announced that its Falcon for XIoT product has received Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High Authorization, according to a company statement.
The authorization extends CrowdStrike's cybersecurity platform to federal operational and connected infrastructure systems. Falcon for XIoT operates through the FedRAMP High-authorized Falcon platform in GovCloud to protect mission-critical systems in national critical infrastructure.
"Federal agencies are defending operational and connected systems that were never designed with security in mind, especially against adversaries who make critical infrastructure a primary target," said Michael Sentonas, president of CrowdStrike.
The product provides asset discovery, risk prioritization, and threat detection for federal agencies. Key features include zero-touch asset discovery that identifies industrial assets across segmented networks without manual configuration, unified protection across federal IT and operational systems, and AI-powered risk prioritization through the company's ExPRT.AI technology.
The system also offers integrated threat detection and response capabilities that correlate operational infrastructure data with endpoint signals and threat intelligence to identify threats across federal systems without disrupting operations.
FedRAMP High Authorization represents the government's highest authorization baseline for cloud service providers serving federal agencies. The authorization allows federal agencies to use Falcon for XIoT to secure operational technology and extended Internet of Things devices that support critical infrastructure operations.
CrowdStrike announced the authorization during its Fal.Con Gov 2026 conference in Austin, Texas and Washington.
