StubHub launches AI-powered ticket distribution tool for event organizers
StubHub announced the launch of StubHub Distribution Manager, an AI-powered self-service tool that allows artists, teams, and venues to list and manage official tickets directly on its marketplace. The tool provides access to over 125 million registered users across more than 200 countries and territories.
The Distribution Manager operates without requiring technical integration or API setup. Users can input simple requests such as "Help me sell tickets," and the system identifies events, ticket types, and helps set sales goals while automatically listing inventory on StubHub's platform.
According to Shaun Stewart, VP of Open Distribution at StubHub, more than 35 partners are currently using the company's Open Distribution model, with directly integrated sales increasing 84% year-over-year. Stewart noted that one MLB team has sold over $40 million in tickets through the platform.
The tool leverages more than 25 years of StubHub marketplace data to provide real-time pricing and demand signals. Partners can view pricing information for similar events and identify demand patterns before tickets go on sale. StubHub handles payment processing, fraud protection, and customer support for all transactions.
The Distribution Manager operates without exclusive contracts or seller-side fees, allowing rights holders to maintain full control over their inventory and pricing. All tickets sold through the platform are backed by StubHub's FanProtect Guarantee.
Early adopters include Country Thunder Music Festivals, GoodVibezPresents, BWT Alpine Formula One Team, and venue management platform Opendate. The tool represents the first product built on StubHub's Open Distribution model, which the company has been developing over the past 18 months.
StubHub trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker NYSE: STUB and operates internationally through its viagogo platform, supporting over 30 languages and accepting payments in over 45 currencies.
