The generators are designed for mission-critical applications including data centers, healthcare facilities, water utilities and commercial and industrial segments.
The new generators feature a V-12, 46-liter engine with a common rail fuel system intended to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. "The Perkins 5012 engine is the cornerstone of this platform, offering durability, exceptional fuel efficiency and reduced emissions," said Erik Wilde, Generac President, Domestic C&I, according to the company's press release.
Additional features include flexible voltage options up to 4,160V, redundant starting systems with backup starters and batteries, and Generac Link Manager hardware for remote monitoring. The generators come with factory-designed enclosures and tanks.
Generac stated that open generator set lead times are 30-36 weeks. The SD1250 and SD1500 generators will begin shipping to customers in the second quarter of 2026.
The company described the generators as part of its broader Industrial Energy portfolio, which includes generation, storage, management and distribution systems.
