Veradermics to present hair loss drug data at dermatology meeting
Veradermics (NYSE: MANE) will present three abstracts on its experimental hair loss treatment VDPHL01 at the 2026 American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting in Denver from March 27-31, according to a company statement.
The presentations will include results from a blinded retrospective assessment by six dermatologists comparing VDPHL01 to existing minoxidil formulations. The study evaluated the perceived efficacy and clinical potential of the company's extended-release oral minoxidil tablet.
Two additional presentations will cover social listening research analyzing patient experiences with current pattern hair loss treatments, examining data from over 140,000 online conversations about treatment side effects, satisfaction rates, and discontinuation patterns.
VDPHL01 is an investigational extended-release oral formulation of minoxidil currently in Phase 3 development for pattern hair loss in both men and women. The drug uses a gel matrix designed to provide sustained release of the active ingredient while avoiding the high peak concentrations associated with immediate-release oral minoxidil.
Pattern hair loss affects approximately 80 million people in the United States, including 30 million women and 50 million men. No new prescription medications for the condition have received FDA approval in nearly 30 years.
The company's earliest patent for VDPHL01 expires in 2043. Veradermics describes itself as a dermatologist-founded biopharmaceutical company focused on developing treatments for aesthetic and dermatological conditions.
