SurgePays launches nationwide LinkUp Mobile promotion during tax season
SurgePays Inc. (NASDAQ: SURG) announced that its prepaid wireless brand LinkUp Mobile has launched a "Buy One Month, Get One Free" promotion across all five LinkUp plans. The campaign runs during tax season and is available through the company's nationwide retail distribution network.
The promotion targets new retail dealers and aims to drive subscriber activations through neighborhood convenience stores and local retail locations. Store clerks can activate new wireless lines directly through the SurgePays point-of-sale platform.
LinkUp Mobile provides contract-free prepaid wireless service. The company operates both the retail point-of-sale platform and wireless service offerings, positioning it to drive subscriber growth through its merchant network.
"LinkUp Mobile has continued to gain traction, surpassing 100,000 active subscriber lines earlier this year," said Derron Winfrey, President of Sales and Operations at SurgePays. "This promotion is designed to accelerate subscriber growth by leveraging our retail distribution network and strong merchant engagement."
Winfrey added that early results showed increased activations and participation from store partners. The campaign timing aligns with tax season when prepaid customers are more likely to activate or switch service.
SurgePays operates a wireless and fintech point-of-sale platform serving subprime and underserved consumers. The company's infrastructure includes thousands of retail locations supporting SIM activations, top-ups, and financial transactions.
Each new subscriber activated through the platform contributes recurring monthly service revenue while strengthening relationships with retail merchants who facilitate wireless sales.
