March 17, 2026 7:59 AM

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and Databricks announced the formation of the Accenture Databricks Business Group to help organizations deploy AI applications and agents using enterprise data. The partnership will be supported by more than 25,000 Databricks-trained professionals.

The companies are working with clients including Albertsons, BASF, and Kyowa Kirin International to build AI applications on the Databricks platform. Albertsons developed a "merchant twin" solution for pricing intelligence that combines analysis and forecasting capabilities for merchants and category managers.

German chemical company BASF created an internal digital assistant called FOX for finance and controlling functions using the Databricks platform. Pharmaceutical company Kyowa Kirin International modernized its data infrastructure using Databricks Lakehouse architecture.

"With Databricks, we're helping clients modernize their data foundation so they can build, scale and govern AI applications and agents with confidence," said Julie Sweet, chair and CEO of Accenture.

The business group will focus on implementing Databricks' products including Lakebase for serverless databases, Genie for conversational AI, and Agent Bricks for enterprise agents. The companies plan to deliver industry-specific solutions across financial services, retail, life sciences, telecommunications, and public sector.

Accenture and Databricks launched a university program in India to train engineering students who will join Accenture after graduation. This supports Databricks' commitment to invest $250 million in India over three years.

Accenture has been recognized as Databricks' Global SI Partner of the Year for seven consecutive years, according to the press release statement.
