Cybeats secures first automotive contract for software security solutions
Cybeats Technologies Corp. (CSE: CYBT) (OTCQB: CYBCF) announced it secured a contract with a global automotive parts manufacturer to provide software supply chain risk management and Software Bill of Materials operations support.
The Toronto-based cybersecurity company will deploy its SBOM Studio platform to help the manufacturer manage structured Software Bills of Materials intake, analysis, and governance workflows across procurement, security, and engineering teams. This marks Cybeats' first contract in the automotive sector.
The deployment will enable the manufacturer to process SBOMs across both internally developed and third-party software. Cybeats' platform will standardize and improve SBOM quality and structure to support downstream processes including vulnerability management and compliance reporting.
The contract comes as automotive manufacturers face growing pressure to manage software risks across connected systems and complex supplier networks. Industries serving the European market are preparing for the EU Cyber Resilience Act, which will introduce cybersecurity requirements for software and digital products in 2027.
"This engagement marks Cybeats' first automotive customer and reflects how SBOM programs continue to move from concept to operational reality in large industrial environments," said Justin Leger, CEO of Cybeats. "Automotive organizations are managing extremely complex supplier networks and software-defined vehicle platforms."
Cybeats provides SBOM management and software supply chain intelligence technology to help organizations manage risk and meet compliance requirements. The company's platform includes SBOM Studio for enterprise management and SBOM Consumer for organizations receiving software from suppliers.
The information is based on a company press release statement.
