Novanta joins NVIDIA Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab
Novanta Inc. (NASDAQ: NOVT) announced it has joined NVIDIA Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab, the first ANSI National Accreditation Board accredited inspection lab for AI-driven physical systems.
The collaboration will focus on validating the interoperability of Novanta's motion control and sensing technologies with safety requirements of NVIDIA platforms, including NVIDIA IGX Thor. The partnership aims to help original equipment manufacturers of robotics reduce integration complexity and accelerate time-to-market for robotic systems.
NVIDIA Halos is described as a comprehensive safety system for physical AI that combines hardware and software components across vehicle and robotics architectures. The inspection lab supports ecosystem participants in validating and certifying technologies for use in AI-powered systems.
"As physical AI applications move from development to real-world deployment, the adoption of critical safety, performance and interoperability standards has become mission critical," said Chuck Ravetto, Co-Chief Operating Officer at Novanta.
Through this engagement, Novanta will align its hardware and subsystem technologies with NVIDIA hardware and software to support robotics developers building warehouse automation, industrial robotics, and humanoid platforms.
Novanta supplies core technology solutions to medical and advanced industrial original equipment manufacturers. The company's robotics portfolio includes technologies for control, movement, and perception in industrial applications across logistics, manufacturing and other advanced industrial markets.
The information is based on a press release statement from Novanta Inc.
