CrowdStrike partners with NVIDIA to boost cybersecurity investigations
CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) announced an expanded collaboration with NVIDIA to advance its managed detection and response services using NVIDIA's Agent Toolkit. The partnership aims to enhance cybersecurity investigations through specialized AI agents.
Internal testing of CrowdStrike's Falcon Complete Next-Gen MDR service showed investigations completed up to five times faster and triage accuracy more than three times higher when powered by NVIDIA Nemotron Nano and Nemotron Super models. The fine-tuned NVIDIA Nemotron Nano model achieved 96% accuracy in generating investigation queries within Falcon LogScale.
CrowdStrike will expand its Charlotte AI AgentWorks platform with support for NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super, enabling organizations to build custom AI agents. The companies used NVIDIA NeMo Data Designer to generate synthetic data for customizing the Nemotron models, creating structured training signals to enhance model accuracy across investigation workflows.
The collaboration addresses challenges facing security teams who process thousands of detections daily, often requiring manual review. The companies are working to integrate NVIDIA OpenShell open-source runtime with the Falcon platform through a Secure-by-Design AI Blueprint.
"Adversaries are already using AI to move faster and scale their operations," said Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike. "The future of managed defense isn't adding more analysts – it's embedding AI agents directly into SOC operations to give analysts superpowers."
The announcement was made at GTC, with performance metrics based on internal testing comparing average agentic investigation time of 8.5 minutes against the longest human investigation of 48 minutes observed during testing.
