Procore integrates platform with NVIDIA Omniverse for AI factory construction
Procore Technologies Inc. (NYSE: PCOR) announced an integration of its construction management platform with the NVIDIA Omniverse DSX Blueprint to accelerate construction of AI factories and infrastructure projects.
The integration creates a digital thread throughout the construction lifecycle by connecting Procore's project management data with NVIDIA's 3D digital twin technology. The system automatically translates and synchronizes 3D models from over 15 different building information modeling and computer-aided design formats into a single digital twin.
The collaboration addresses challenges in AI factory construction, where design changes during construction can disrupt critical systems like airflow or GPU performance. Teams can simulate design modifications in a digital environment before implementing them in physical construction.
"What is built in the real world often drifts from the intended plan the moment a project breaks ground," said Steve Davis, President of Product & Technology at Procore. "Our integration with the NVIDIA Omniverse DSX Blueprint keeps that digital thread unbroken."
The integration incorporates the NVIDIA DSX Blueprint, which establishes standardized patterns for construction digital twins. The system uses OpenUSD, an open-source standard for 3D interoperability, to synchronize project data in real time.
Joint customers include Switch, a data center provider, and other construction companies. The technology aims to reduce rework by allowing teams to simulate complex builds digitally, provide unified project data across stakeholders, and enable predictive planning capabilities.
NVIDIA is using Procore's platform for construction of its own AI facilities. The companies plan to develop AI agents to address common construction issues like project delays and create simulation environments for training construction robotics.
The integration includes SimPacks and Procore AI components for advanced use cases including construction scenario simulation, design change management, and contractor scheduling optimization.
