Veracyte appoints Kevin Haas as chief development and technology officer
Veracyte Inc. (NASDAQ: VCYT) appointed Kevin Haas as Chief Development and Technology Officer, a newly created position at the cancer diagnostics company. Haas will join Veracyte on March 24, 2026, according to a company statement.
In his role, Haas will oversee the company's product development operations, including diagnostic assay development, software and bioinformatics, and the product development program office. The appointment comes as Veracyte expands its pipeline into whole-genome minimal residual disease and other multi-omics applications.
Haas brings more than 15 years of life sciences industry experience to the position. He most recently served as Chief Technology Officer at Myriad Genetics, where he led development of the company's precision medicine platform and digital health strategy. Previously, he held roles as Senior Vice President of Engineering at Myriad and Vice President of Bioinformatics at Myriad Women's Health. Before Myriad, he worked in leadership positions at Counsyl.
Haas holds a bachelor's degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from University of California-Berkeley, where he focused on molecular simulation and machine learning for protein dynamics studies.
"Kevin is an accomplished product development and software leader with a track record of advancing diagnostic innovations and platform technologies," said Marc Stapley, Veracyte's Chief Executive Officer.
The company stated that Haas will be responsible for delivering laboratory-developed tests and global in vitro diagnostic products as part of Veracyte's expanding portfolio.
