Flowserve adds Duke Energy CFO Brian Savoy to board
Flowserve Corporation (NYSE: FLS) announced that its board of directors elected Brian Savoy as a new board member, effective March 16, 2026. The company also appointed Savoy to serve on its Audit Committee and Technology, Innovation and Risk Committee.
Savoy currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Duke Energy, an electric power and natural gas holding company. His previous roles at Duke Energy include Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer and Chief Transformation and Administrative Officer. He also serves as a board member and audit committee chair for the Electric Power Research Institute, a nonprofit energy research organization.
"His extensive leadership in the power industry, particularly with respect to nuclear, will help sharpen our focus as we continue to expand Flowserve's position in this important growth market," said Scott Rowe, Flowserve's President and Chief Executive Officer, according to the company's statement.
John Garrison, chairman of Flowserve's board of directors, said the company believes Savoy's experience and financial expertise will enhance Flowserve's focus on business systems and growth in power and industrial markets.
Savoy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Lamar University and is a certified public accountant.
Flowserve operates in more than 50 countries and produces engineered pumps, seals, valves and related flow management services for global infrastructure markets.
