Celanese raises prices on engineered materials effective April 2026

Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE) announced price increases for its engineered materials products, effective April 1, 2026, or as contracts allow, according to a company statement.

The Dallas-based specialty materials and chemical company cited market developments and global supply chain disruptions as factors behind the pricing adjustments. Individual grades may be subject to higher increases than the base amounts specified.

The price increases vary by material type and region. For polyoxymethylene (POM) products including Hostaform, Celcon and Amcel brands, prices will rise by $0.30 per kilogram in Asia, $0.09 per pound in the Americas, and €0.50 per kilogram in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) products under the GUR brand will see increases of $0.50 per kilogram in Asia, $0.23 per pound in the Americas, and €0.45 per kilogram in EMEA.

Polyamide products (PA 6 and PA66), including Zytel, Frianyl, Celanyl, Minlon, CoolPoly and Ecomid brands, will have price adjustments ranging from $0.50 to $0.55 per kilogram in Asia, $0.141 per pound in the Americas, and €0.301 per kilogram in EMEA.

The increases also affect liquid crystal polymer and polycyclohexylene terephthalate products, polyphenylene sulfide materials, thermoplastic vulcanizates, thermoplastic copolyesters, polypropylene compounds, and specialty nylon products across the company's global markets.

Celanese employs more than 11,000 people worldwide and reported 2025 net sales of $9.5 billion.
