Clearmind Medicine files Hong Kong patent for depression therapy combo

Clearmind Medicine Inc. (NASDAQ: CMND) filed a patent application in Hong Kong for a combination therapy to treat major depressive disorder, the company announced.

The treatment combines Clearmind's 5-methoxy-2-aminoindane (MEAI) with Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA), sourced through a partnership with NeuroThera Labs Inc. (TSXV: NTLX), a subsidiary of SciSparc Ltd. (NASDAQ: SPRC).

The patent application was filed with Hong Kong's Intellectual Property Department for what the company describes as a non-hallucinogenic approach to treating depression. The therapy targets major depressive disorder, which affects more than 332 million people globally according to the company.

Clearmind is a clinical-stage biotech company focused on developing neuroplastogen-derived therapeutics. The company's intellectual property portfolio includes 19 patent families with 31 granted patents.

The Vancouver-based company trades on NASDAQ under the symbol CMND and on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as CWY0.
