Crane NXT appoints Jeffrey Benck to board of directors
Crane NXT, Co. (NYSE: CXT) announced that its board of directors has appointed Jeffrey Benck as a director of the authentication and traceability technology company.
Benck brings more than 35 years of experience leading technology companies across software, services and hardware sectors. Since March 2019, he has served as president, chief executive officer and director of Benchmark Electronics (NYSE: BHE), a provider of engineering design and manufacturing services. He also serves as a director and chair of the human resource and governance committee of UNS Energy Corporation, a subsidiary of Fortis Inc.
Before joining Benchmark Electronics, Benck held chief executive roles at Lantronix, a provider of secure data access and management solutions for Internet-of-Things and information technology assets, and at Emulex Corporation from July 2013 until its acquisition by Avago Technologies in May 2015. He previously served as president and chief operating officer of QLogic Corporation and held senior leadership positions during an 18-year tenure at IBM Corporation.
Benck holds a master of science degree in management of technology from University of Miami and a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology.
The company also announced that James L.L. Tullis, a current board member, will not stand for reelection at the 2026 annual meeting of stockholders scheduled for May 21, 2026. Tullis will cease serving as a director at the conclusion of that meeting.
