Fairview Health Services selects Workday for HR, finance platform
Fairview Health Services has selected Workday Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY) to modernize its HR, finance, and supply chain operations on a single platform, according to a company statement.
The healthcare system will implement Workday's suite of AI-powered solutions to replace existing business systems across its operations serving 34,000 employees. The multi-year initiative aims to integrate core operational functions onto a unified platform.
"Fairview is investing in improvements across HR, finance, supply chain, and other core functions to strengthen the operational foundation that supports our people and the communities we serve," said Sabu Kallumpurathu Bose, vice president of digital transformation at Fairview Health Services.
The implementation will include Workday Human Capital Management for employee data centralization, Workday Financial Management for financial oversight, and Workday Supply Chain Management for clinical supply operations. The system will operate alongside Fairview's existing Epic health record systems.
Fairview stated the platform will provide unified data access, AI insights, and standardized workflows across the organization. The healthcare system emphasized that AI tools will be implemented with governance, security, privacy, and human oversight protocols.
"With HR, finance, and supply chain running on a single system, work moves faster and decisions become easier, giving teams more time to support caregivers and patients," said Michael Hofherr, senior vice president and group general manager for industry at Workday.
Workday reported that more than 11,500 organizations globally use its platform, including over 65% of Fortune 500 companies. The company stated it was recognized as "Best in KLAS for ERP (Large)" for eight consecutive years.
