Voyager Technologies (NYSE: VOYG) announced the opening of a new 140,000-square-foot facility in Long Beach, California, according to a company press release. The facility will support development and production of technologies for civil, national security and commercial space missions.

The Long Beach location will focus on advanced electronics, mission hardware, AI-enabled software, embedded systems, space infrastructure for low Earth orbit and lunar missions, propulsion systems, and sensing and communications technologies. The company stated it plans to use AI-driven digital engineering and automated manufacturing to accelerate development cycles.

"We are standing up capacity at Space Beach for one purpose: to deliver for our customers," said Matt Magaña, president of Space, Defense & National Security at Voyager. "We are moving fast from design to build, test and fielded capability, and this facility gives us access to world-class talent, a proven aerospace ecosystem and the collaborative energy of companies that are all pushing in the same direction."

Voyager indicated it is collaborating with other Long Beach-based companies including Anduril Industries and True Anomaly. Long Beach Mayor Rex Richardson welcomed the investment, noting it would bring high-skilled jobs and strengthen the local economy.

Long Beach has become home to a growing network of space and defense companies, advanced manufacturers and engineering talent. The area has gained recognition as an aerospace innovation center, earning the nickname "Space Beach."

The facility represents Voyager's expansion to meet what the company described as significant demand across multiple space mission categories. The company focuses on defense and space technology solutions.
