March 12, 2026 8:31 AM

AES Corporation (NYSE: AES) extended the expiration time for its consent solicitations from holders of four series of senior notes to 5:00 p.m. New York time on March 13, 2026, according to a company statement.

The consent solicitations cover the company's 5.450% Senior Notes due 2028, 3.950% Senior Notes due 2030, 2.450% Senior Notes due 2031, and 5.800% Senior Notes due 2032. The solicitations were previously scheduled to expire at 5:00 p.m. New York time on March 11, 2026.

AES stated that holders who have already submitted valid consents do not need to take further action due to the extension. All other terms of the consent solicitations remain unchanged from the original consent solicitation statement dated March 5, 2026.

The extension comes as AES is involved in a proposed transaction with Horizon Parent, L.P. The company indicated it expects to file a proxy statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding the proposed transaction.

AES is a Fortune 500 global energy company based in Arlington, Virginia. The consent solicitations are being made solely under the terms and conditions set forth in the consent solicitation statement, which contains detailed information about each series of notes.
