Clear Channel Outdoor wins 10-year Omaha airport advertising contract
Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings Inc. (NYSE: CCO) has secured a 10-year contract with the Omaha Airport Authority to provide advertising services at Omaha Eppley Airfield, the company announced March 12.
The agreement continues Clear Channel's role as the airport's advertising provider as Eppley Airfield undergoes a $950 million terminal expansion. Clear Channel will invest $1 million in new advertising infrastructure designed to complement the modernized terminal architecture.
The airport serves more than 5.2 million annual passengers. Clear Channel's new media program will include large-format LED video walls, digitally enhanced columns in baggage claim areas, and architecturally integrated print displays throughout key passenger areas.
"The new contract with Clear Channel is happening during an exciting time as we progress with our terminal modernization program," said Dave Roth, Chief Executive Officer at Omaha Airport Authority. "Advertising across the airport provides benefits to our travelers and enhances the passenger experience."
Clear Channel has served as Omaha Airport Authority's advertising provider for more than 16 years. The company will partner with local businesses including Chandler Campbelle & Daschle, Renze Display Company and National Electric for installation and maintenance of the program.
The new advertising program is scheduled to launch alongside the phased opening of the new terminal beginning in 2027. Clear Channel cited Nielsen research showing 88% of frequent flyers notice airport messaging and 57% take action after seeing it.
Morten Gotterup, President of Clear Channel Outdoor Airports Division, said the company is committed to delivering a program that enhances the passenger journey while driving results for the Authority and community.
