Sleep Number launches five new mattresses with simplified lineup
Sleep Number Corporation (NASDAQ: SNBR) announced a redesigned mattress portfolio featuring five new beds across three collections, marking its largest product reset in nearly a decade. The new lineup will be available March 23 online and in stores.
The company simplified its portfolio from 12 to seven beds, organizing them into three collections: ComfortMode, ComfortNext, and Climate. The ComfortMode Collection starts at $1,599 for a queen size and includes beds designed for comfort and temperature balancing without app connectivity. The ComfortNext Collection, starting at $2,999 for a queen, features three new beds with a Tri-Brid design combining micro coils, foam and air. The Climate Collection, starting at $5,499 for a queen, offers heating and cooling technology.
According to CEO Linda Findley, the ComfortMode bed, introduced in January, exceeded sales expectations by 3.5 times. The company stated this performance indicates potential success for the broader portfolio launch.
The ComfortNext Collection introduces Sleep Number's first Tri-Brid design, which the company says provides support for shoulders, knees, hips and lower back. The Climate Collection maintains the company's temperature control technology, which Sleep Number claims can provide up to 52.5 minutes more restful sleep per night based on internal data.
Sleep Number also announced a refreshed base portfolio, including a new Foundation and an updated FlexFit 3 smart adjustable base. All mattresses include a 100-night trial and 10-year limited warranty.
The Minneapolis-based company operates 600 stores nationwide and has served more than 16 million customers over nearly 40 years of operation.
