FireFox Gold appoints Martin Rip to board of directors

FireFox Gold Corp. (TSX.V: FFOX) (OTCQB: FFOXF) announced the appointment of Martin Rip to its board of directors, according to a company statement.



Rip is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 25 years of experience in the mining sector. He previously served as chief financial officer of Lumina Metals Corp., Fuerte Metals Corp. and Lumina Gold Corp., which was sold to CMOC in June 2025. His prior roles include CFO positions at Anfield Gold Corp, Lumina Copper Corp., Lumina Royalty Corp. and Luminex Resources Corp.



Before his corporate roles, Rip worked as a Senior Manager in the Assurance and Business Advisory practice at Grant Thornton LLP. He holds a law degree from the University of Birmingham and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.



Rip will serve as chair of FireFox's audit committee in addition to his director role. Patrick Highsmith, Chairman and Co-Founder of FireFox, stated that Rip's expertise in finance and capital markets will benefit the company's financial reporting, internal controls, and governance.



The company also granted 300,000 stock options at an exercise price of $0.85 to consultants, directors, and employees. The options were issued at a premium to the previous trading day's closing share price of $0.84. The options will expire five years from the grant date.



FireFox Gold explores for gold deposits in Finland and maintains a portfolio of exploration projects, including the Mustajärvi Project and an earn-in agreement with Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd.
