Leidos wins $454.9 million contract to modernize Air Force Cloud One platform
Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) received a $454.9 million contract to modernize the U.S. Air Force's Cloud One platform, according to a company statement. The contract involves working with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to transform the Air Force's multi-cloud environment.
The modernization program aims to enhance security, increase automation, and simplify operations while reducing costs. The initiative is designed to help Air Force units manage cloud operations and adopt cloud services more efficiently across global operations.
"Modernizing Cloud One helps the Air Force deploy mission-critical operations faster and defend them more effectively," said Steve Hull, president of Leidos' Digital Modernization division. "It also creates a secure, repeatable cloud foundation that other Department of Defense organizations can adopt."
The program intends to accelerate cloud adoption across Air Force units by streamlining cloud processes and reducing complexity. The modernization effort supports the Air Force's transition to cloud-based operations while strengthening cybersecurity defenses.
Leidos, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, reported annual revenues of approximately $17.2 billion for the fiscal year ended January 2, 2026. The company employs 47,000 people globally and serves government and commercial customers with digital and mission technology solutions.
The Cloud One modernization aligns with Leidos' NorthStar 2030 strategy, which focuses on technology and cybersecurity innovation for federal government clients. The contract establishes a foundation that could be adopted by other Department of Defense organizations to facilitate broader cloud adoption across military operations.
