Serve Robotics partners with White Castle for robot delivery on Uber Eats
Serve Robotics Inc. (NASDAQ: SERV) announced a partnership with White Castle to deliver the restaurant chain's menu items using autonomous robots through the Uber Eats platform (NYSE: UBER).
Customers ordering White Castle within Serve's delivery zones can now receive their orders via the company's autonomous sidewalk robots. The service expands Serve's existing robotic delivery operations on Uber Eats, which currently operate in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, and Alexandria, Virginia.
The partnership allows White Castle customers to order items including sliders, Chicken Rings, Mozzarella Sticks, and Crave Cases for robot delivery. Serve's third-generation robots are designed to transport temperature-sensitive orders while maintaining food quality during delivery.
"White Castle is a legendary brand that helped define convenient, fast meals, and we're thrilled to bring that legacy into the future," said Ali Kashani, CEO of Serve Robotics.
Chris Shaffery, Senior Vice President of Restaurant Operations at White Castle, stated that the partnership represents "an exciting new way to combine convenience, technology, and great taste together."
Serve Robotics has deployed more than 2,000 robots across the United States, reaching approximately 3 million people and supporting delivery for over 3,600 restaurants since spinning off from Uber in 2021. The company designs both hardware and software for its autonomous delivery robots.
White Castle operates nearly 350 restaurants and has been family-owned since 1921. The autonomous delivery service is now available through Uber Eats for customers within Serve's operating areas.
