Advance Auto Parts names Cynthia Jamison to board of directors
Advance Auto Parts Inc. (NYSE: AAP) appointed Cynthia Jamison as an independent director to its board of directors, according to a company statement.
Jamison most recently served as chief financial officer of AquaSpy Inc. from 2010 through 2013. She previously worked as a partner with Tatum LLC from 1999 to 2009, where she served as CFO or COO of several public and private entities and led the CFO Practice for four years.
Her earlier career included executive positions at Chart House Enterprises, Allied Domecq Retailing USA, Kraft General Foods and Arthur Andersen.
Jamison currently serves on the board of directors of Darden Restaurants Inc., where she was appointed chair in 2023 after joining the board in 2014. She also sits on the board of International Flavors & Fragrances Inc., serving as chair of the audit committee, and is a trustee on the board of Save The Children.
She previously chaired the boards of Tractor Supply Company and Big Lots Inc., and served as a board member at Office Depot Inc., B&G Foods, Cellu Tissue Holdings Inc. and Horizon Organic Holdings Corp.
"Cynthia brings a wealth of Board and executive leadership experience within the retail and consumer products sectors," said Gene Lee, chair of the board.
Advance Auto Parts operates 4,305 stores primarily in the United States as of January 3, with additional locations in Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The company also serves 809 independently owned Carquest branded stores across these locations plus Mexico and various Caribbean islands.
