Hilton launches AI-powered travel planning tool in beta testing
Hilton (NYSE: HLT) announced the launch of its AI Planner, a generative artificial intelligence-powered digital concierge now available in beta testing on hilton.com. The tool uses conversational intelligence to help travelers navigate destination selection, property comparison and amenity exploration.
The AI Planner provides real-time responses and recommendations to assist users throughout their travel planning process. The tool initially launches to a limited pool of website traffic and will expand to more users as it develops.
"The launch of the Hilton AI Planner marks another step forward in our journey to reimagine the travel experience for Hilton guests," said Michael Leidinger, senior vice president and chief information officer at Hilton.
The company stated the tool addresses growing use of AI for travel planning and represents part of its technology investment strategy. Hilton plans to use guest behaviors, feedback and usage patterns to improve the tool's capabilities over time.
Hilton operates more than 9,100 properties with over 1.3 million rooms across 143 countries and territories through its portfolio of 26 brands. The company has previously introduced technology features including Digital Key, Connected Room and Confirmed Connecting Room.
