Lightpath receives GSA contract for federal agency fiber services

March 10, 2026 9:10 AM

Lightpath, a fiber infrastructure provider, has been awarded a GSA Multiple Award Schedule contract that allows federal agencies to procure the company's connectivity services through a streamlined process.

The contract makes Lightpath's fiber infrastructure and connectivity services available through GSA eBuy, while state and local agencies in all 50 states can access these services through Cooperative Purchasing. Federal and State, Local, and Education agencies can now procure services using standardized GSA terms and pricing under Contract Number 47QTCA26D0021.

Lightpath operates an all-fiber network spanning more than 12,100 route miles, connecting over 185 data centers and more than 17,500 lit locations across major metropolitan regions including New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, Southern Connecticut, Boston, Eastern Pennsylvania, Ashburn, Miami, Columbus and Phoenix. The network offers up to 800 Gbps of bandwidth capacity.

"This is an important milestone for Lightpath and meaningfully expands our ability to support the mission critical requirements of government entities," said Doug Turtz, Chief Revenue Officer of Lightpath.

The company reports serving more than 1,000 customers in education systems, municipalities, transportation agencies, and other public-sector environments. Lightpath is jointly owned by Optimum Communications, Inc. (NYSE: OPTU) and Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners.

Services available under the GSA contract will be listed within the GSA catalog, according to the company's announcement made March 10.
