Clearmind Medicine receives international patent for weight loss therapy
Clearmind Medicine Inc. (NASDAQ: CMND) announced the publication of an international patent application for a combination therapy targeting weight loss and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease. The patent was filed under the Patent Cooperation Treaty.
The therapy combines Clearmind's proprietary 5-methoxy-2-aminoindane (MEAI) with Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA), developed through collaboration with NeuroThera Labs Inc. (TSXV: NTLX), a subsidiary of SciSparc Ltd. (NASDAQ: SPRC).
The treatment is designed as a non-hallucinogenic neuroplastogen therapy for obesity, which affects over 890 million adults worldwide, and MASLD, impacting approximately 30% of the global adult population according to the company.
