Ondas Inc. (NASDAQ: ONDS) announced that its subsidiary 4M Defense received a $15.8 million initial order under a demining program in Israel. The order represents the first phase of a national land-clearance initiative valued at over $30 million.

The program includes potential for an additional $30 million in follow-on phases, bringing total potential value to $60 million. The project will clear approximately 740 acres of hazardous terrain along the Israel-Syria border over an initial execution period of up to three years, with options for extensions and scope expansion.

4M Defense will utilize autonomous robotic systems, aerial drones, and advanced sensing technologies to map, detect, and neutralize explosive threats including legacy minefields and unexploded ordnance. The technology-driven approach aims to reduce personnel risk while improving operational efficiency.

"We are pleased to begin execution of this important national demining project and to see the first order issued under the program," said Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas. The company stated that large-scale land clearance operations increasingly benefit from advanced robotics and autonomous systems.

The contract was awarded to 4M Defense following a competitive tender process. Implementation will proceed based on defined milestones, according to the company's press release statement.

Ondas operates through business units including Ondas Autonomous Systems, which provides AI-powered defense and security platforms, and Ondas Networks, which offers private wireless solutions. The company's autonomous systems portfolio includes companies such as American Robotics, Airobotics, and Roboteam Ltd.
