RTX unit wins follow-on contract for small cruise missile engines
Pratt & Whitney, a unit of RTX (NYSE: RTX), received a follow-on contract from Leidos Dynetics to supply TJ150 engines for the AGM-190A small cruise missile, the company announced March 10.
The TJ150 is a turbojet engine that produces over 150 pounds of thrust and operates at high altitudes. The engine is designed for autonomous systems and weapons for domestic and international customers.
"Meeting today's mission demands requires speed and reliable performance, and the TJ150 engine delivers on both," said Jessica Villardi, vice president of Fighter and Mobility Programs at Pratt & Whitney.
Pratt & Whitney has delivered over 2,700 TJ150 engines to customers globally across several missile applications. The company is incorporating additive manufacturing into TJ150 development engines to increase production flexibility and reduce costs.
The contract value and delivery timeline were not disclosed in the company's statement.
RTX reported 2025 sales of more than $88 billion and employs over 180,000 people globally. The company is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia.
