Leidos partners with Dropzone AI for federal cyber threat response

March 10, 2026 8:01 AM

Leidos Holdings Inc. (NYSE: LDOS) announced a partnership with Dropzone AI to deploy artificial intelligence capabilities for U.S. federal agencies' cybersecurity operations, according to a company statement.

The collaboration aims to address alert fatigue in federal security operations centers by using AI agents to handle routine cyber investigations, allowing human analysts to focus on complex threats. The partnership leverages Second Front Systems' Game Warden platform to accelerate deployment of AI-driven capabilities in government environments.

"Our customers are looking for practical ways to use AI—not experiments," said Steve Hull, president of Leidos Digital Modernization. "This partnership helps federal agencies address the growing threat landscape while working to improve response times, reduce analyst fatigue, and stay compliant with federal security rules."

Dropzone AI provides defensive AI agents that perform tasks traditionally handled by human security analysts, including alert review, context gathering, and recommendation development. The company reports its AI agents have automated work equivalent to 160 years of manual analyst effort across 300 commercial organizations.

"Dropzone's AI agents have already automated the equivalent of more than 160 years of manual analysts work across over 300 commercial organizations, enabling security teams to respond to threats up to 90% faster and with less manual effort," said Edward Wu, Dropzone AI's founder and CEO.

As part of the arrangement, Leidos made a strategic investment in Dropzone AI. The partnership utilizes Second Front Systems' Game Warden platform, designed to facilitate commercial AI software deployment in government classified and unclassified environments while maintaining security standards.

Leidos, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, employs 47,000 people globally and reported annual revenues of approximately $17.2 billion for the fiscal year ended January 2, 2026.
