Microchip Technology expands Trust Platform security services

March 10, 2026 6:36 AM

Microchip Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: MCHP) announced the expansion of its Trust Platform with two new security products designed to help manufacturers comply with emerging cybersecurity regulations including the EU Cyber Resilience Act.

The company introduced the TA101 TrustFLEX secure authentication integrated circuit and the TA101 TrustMANAGER with keySTREAM service from Kudelski Labs. These products target manufacturers developing products subject to CRA legislation and software-defined vehicle architectures.

The TrustFLEX device comes factory pre-configured for companies with existing cloud infrastructure capable of managing cryptographic keys and firmware. The TrustMANAGER platform provides cloud-based cryptographic key lifecycle management and firmware-over-the-air update services for companies without such infrastructure.

For industrial applications, the Trust Platform supports International Electrotechnical Commission 62443 standards and CRA compliance through PKI-based authentication, secure communications, and authenticated firmware updates. The platform includes in-factory or in-field provisioning services.

"Security requirements are expanding rapidly, presenting developers with significant challenges in complexity of implementing cryptographic key management and secure updates," said Nuri Dagdeviren, corporate vice president of Microchip's secure computing group.

The TA101-TFLXTLS integrated circuit is preconfigured at Microchip's certified factories following Common Criteria practices. The TA101-TMNGTLS enables remote management of cryptographic keys throughout the product lifecycle and integrates with Kudelski's keySTREAM Software-as-a-Service platform.

In automotive applications, the TA101-TMNGTLS supports software-defined vehicle architectures and compliance with ISO/SAE 21434 standards and UNECE WP.29 automotive cybersecurity regulations.

Both products are currently available through Microchip's early adopter program. The devices are compatible with the MPLAB X Integrated Development Environment and supported by development tools including the CryptoAuth PRO development board.
