Brunswick names Brad Zoelle as Boston Whaler president
Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC) appointed Brad Zoelle as president of Boston Whaler, the company announced. Zoelle replaces Lenn Scholz, who is leaving to pursue opportunities outside the company.
Zoelle previously served as general manager of Mercury Marine APAC, where he led international market expansion and growth in propulsion and parts segments. His experience at Brunswick includes roles at Mercury Marine and Sea Ray, where he worked on product launches including the SLX-R 400e and Sea Ray's rebranding strategy.
The company also named Jerry Newton as vice president of operations for Boston Whaler. Newton brings 25 years of operational experience, including two years as president of Brunswick's Venture Boat Group and 15 years in leadership positions at John Deere.
"Brad's impressive track record across multiple brands at Brunswick and his deep understanding of our industry make him the right leader for Boston Whaler's next phase of growth," said Brenna Preisser, Brunswick Boat Group president.
In his new role, Zoelle will oversee Boston Whaler's strategic direction, product innovation, operations and commercial execution. He previously served as chairman of the Outboard Engine Distributors Association in Australia for two years.
Brunswick Corporation is headquartered in Mettawa, Illinois, and operates marine recreation brands including Mercury Marine, Sea Ray, Bayliner and Lund. The company has approximately 15,000 employees across 26 countries.
