SEI partners with IBM to implement enterprise AI automation systems
SEI (NASDAQ: SEIC) announced it has engaged IBM Consulting to conduct a comprehensive review of its operational systems and implement agentic AI and automation technologies across the enterprise, according to a company statement.
The financial services technology provider will work with IBM to redesign processes and modernize workflows aimed at improving productivity and client experience. The initiative focuses on streamlining client interactions, automating routine tasks, and building what the company describes as a data-enabled operating foundation.
"As SEI enters its next phase of growth, investing in how we operate is just as critical as investing in what we deliver," said Sean Denham, SEI's Chief Financial and Chief Operating Officer. "By deploying and scaling AI across the enterprise through a disciplined, data-driven approach, we will work more efficiently, innovate faster, and scale with confidence."
IBM will assess SEI's processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for embedding AI and automation into daily operations. The collaboration will utilize IBM's Enterprise Advantage platform to support the operating model transformation.
"By combining SEI's deep knowledge of its business with IBM's expertise in process intelligence and agentic AI, we can unlock new levels of efficiency across the enterprise," said Glenn Finch, Head of U.S. Financial Services at IBM Consulting.
SEI manages, advises, or administers approximately $1.9 trillion in assets as of December 31, 2025. The Oaks, Pennsylvania-based company provides financial technology, operations, and asset management services to the financial services industry.
