Capital Clean Energy Carriers names Martin Houston chairman
Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. (NASDAQ: CCEC) announced Martin Houston has been appointed chairman of the board, with Keith Forman transitioning to vice-chairman.
Houston brings 46 years of energy industry experience to the role. He currently serves as chairman of Omega Oil and Gas Ltd. and as a non-executive director of Energean plc, BUPA Arabia SA, CC Energy and Singapore GasCo. He also works as a senior advisor at Moelis and Company.
Houston stepped down as co-founder and executive chairman of Tellurian Inc. in October 2024 following the company's sale. He previously served as chief operating officer and executive director at BG Group for 32 years before retiring in 2014.
Forman served as chairman of Capital Clean Energy Carriers and its predecessor Capital Product Partners L.P. for eight years. During his tenure, the company converted from a partnership to a corporation and expanded into gas shipping operations.
"Under Keith's stewardship as Chairman, the company and its management have successfully navigated a repositioning, now focusing on gas transportation with a focus on LNG shipping," Houston said in a statement.
Capital Clean Energy Carriers operates an international shipping business focused on gas transportation. The company's current fleet includes 14 vessels, comprising 12 LNG carriers, one LCO2/multi-gas carrier and one container vessel. The company has 18 additional vessels under construction scheduled for delivery between the second quarter of 2026 and first quarter of 2029.
