Fluor appoints former SNC-Lavalin CEO Card to board of directors

Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced that Robert G. Card has been elected to its board of directors effective March 4, 2026. Card previously served as president and CEO of SNC-Lavalin from 2012 to 2015.



Card will serve on the board's Audit Committee and Commercial Strategies and Operational Risk Committee. His appointment brings the total number of Fluor board members to 12, of whom 10 are independent.



The new board member held senior leadership roles at CH2M, including president of its Energy, Water & Facilities Divisions. Card also served as Under Secretary of Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy from 2001 to 2004, overseeing national programs in energy, science, environment, and nuclear waste management.



Card led CH2M's Transportation, Nuclear, Environmental, Government and International divisions and served as deputy program manager for the London 2012 Olympics. He managed the decommissioning of the Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant and received the Energy Secretary's Gold Award.



The executive has served on multiple industry boards, including Westinghouse Electric, AECOM, Ardurra, AMEC Foster Wheeler and Longenecker & Associates.

Irving, Texas-based Fluor reported revenue of $15.5 billion in 2025 and employs nearly 23,000 people. The company provides engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance services across energy, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, mining and life sciences sectors.
