After-hours movers:
Palantir (NASDAQ: PLTR) rose 7% after the company delivered solid quarterly results and announced strong guidance. Revenue grew 70% year-over-year and 19% quarter-over-quarter to $1.407 billion.
NXP Semiconductors (NASDAQ: NXPI) fell 3.5% after it announced fourth quarter results that were slightly better than consensus, along with guidance that was also about in-line. Fourth quarter revenue was $3.34 billion, up 7 percent year-on-year.
NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) fell 0.6% and AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) rose 1% after Reuters reported that OpenAI is unsatisfied with some of Nvidia’s AI chips, and it has sought alternatives since last year. The ChatGPT-maker’s shift in strategy is over an increasing emphasis on chips used to perform specific elements of AI inference.
TeraWulf (NASDAQ: WULF) rose 9% after it announced the acquisition of two infrastructure sites in Kentucky and Maryland that add approximately 1.5 gigawatts of capacity to its digital and power infrastructure portfolio.
