Snowflake and Anthropic announce $200M AI partnership expansion
Snowflake Inc. (NYSE: SNOW) and Anthropic announced a $200 million multi-year partnership expansion to integrate Anthropic's Claude AI models into Snowflake's platform for its more than 12,600 global customers.
The partnership makes Claude models available through Snowflake Cortex AI across all three major cloud platforms. Claude will power Snowflake Intelligence, the company's enterprise intelligence agent, enabling users to analyze structured and unstructured data using natural language prompts.
The companies said thousands of Snowflake customers already process trillions of Claude tokens monthly through Snowflake Cortex AI. The expanded collaboration focuses on deploying AI agents capable of multi-step analysis using Claude's reasoning capabilities within Snowflake's data environment.
"Anthropic joins a very select group of partners where we have nine-figure alignment, co-innovation at the product level, and a proven track record of executing together for customers worldwide," said Sridhar Ramaswamy, CEO of Snowflake.
Dario Amodei, CEO and co-founder of Anthropic, stated: "This partnership brings Claude directly into Snowflake, where that data already lives. It's a meaningful step toward making frontier AI genuinely useful for businesses."
The partnership includes access to Anthropic's newest models, including Claude Opus 4.5, which Snowflake hosted on the first day of availability. Users can query various data types including text, images, and audio using SQL.
Snowflake internally uses Claude Code for developer productivity and employs Claude-powered AI assistants for sales operations. The companies established a joint go-to-market initiative targeting enterprise AI agent deployment.
The information is based on a company press release statement.
