Subaru Solterra EV gains access to 25,000 Tesla Superchargers

October 22, 2025 3:11 PM

Subaru of America (OTC: FUJHY) announced that owners of its Solterra electric vehicle models can now access more than 25,000 Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) Superchargers across North America through the SubaruConnect app.

The 2026 Subaru Solterra EV comes equipped with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, making it compatible with Tesla Superchargers. Owners of 2023-2025 Solterra models will be able to purchase a Genuine Subaru Accessory Fast Charging Adapter (NACS) this fall to access the Tesla charging network.

The 2026 Solterra models feature a "Plug & Charge" function that automatically recognizes the vehicle and initiates charging. These vehicles can also precondition their batteries when navigating to DC fast chargers through the onboard navigation system or manually through touchscreen controls.

According to Subaru, the 2026 Solterra EV can charge up to 80% in approximately 28 minutes, even in cold weather conditions, due to its preconditioning system. The vehicle offers up to 288 miles of range and is available at retailers nationwide.

Through the SubaruConnect app, Solterra owners can set up payment methods for charging and locate available charging stations using the Find Stations Map feature.

Subaru stated it will communicate with owners about adapter availability once more information becomes available for the 2023-2025 model years.
