Newsmax Inc. (NYSE: NMAX) announced the appointment of David Gandler as a director to its board of directors, effective immediately. Gandler serves as co-founder and chief executive officer of streaming service FuboTV Inc. (NYSE: FUBO).

The appointment expands Newsmax's board to six members, including CEO Christopher Ruddy, former U.S. Secretary of Labor Alex Acosta, Ambassador Nancy Brinker, Christopher Nixon Cox and Ambassador Paula J. Dobriansky.

Gandler co-founded Fubo in 2015 and led the company's public listing on the New York Stock Exchange in October 2020. Before establishing Fubo, he worked in video advertising sales for more than 15 years at companies including Scripps Networks Interactive, Time Warner Cable Media Sales and NBCUniversal's Telemundo Media.

Through Gandler Sports Group, he holds majority ownership of soccer team Leyton Orient F.C. in England's EFL League One and previously co-owned Paris FC. He also serves on the board of directors of Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship and is a member of the Paley Media Council.
