UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH) rose 8% after Buffett's Berkshire disclosed a 5 million share stake. Berkshire also disclosed stakes in Nucor (NYSE: NUE) and D. R. Horton (NYSE: DHI).
Applied Materials (NASDAQ: AMAT) plunged 12% after guidance disappointed investors. Applied Materials sees Q4 2025 EPS of $1.91-$2.31, versus the consensus of $2.38. Applied Materials sees Q4 2025 revenue of $6.2-7.2 billion, versus the consensus of $7.32 billion.
Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) rose 2%, extending an earlier gain to nearly 10%, amid reports the government could take a stake in the company.
Hims & Hers Health (NYSE: HIMS) fell 5% following reports from Bloomberg that said the FTC is probing its cancellations practices.
