Apple launches AppleCare One bundled protection plan for multiple devices
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) announced AppleCare One, a consolidated protection plan that covers multiple Apple devices under a single monthly subscription. The service launches in the United States and costs $19.99 per month for up to three devices, with additional devices available for $5.99 each per month.
AppleCare One includes the same coverage as AppleCare+, providing unlimited accident repairs, 24/7 priority support, Apple-certified service, and battery coverage. The plan extends theft and loss protection to iPad and Apple Watch devices, previously available only for iPhone users.
"Built on the trusted foundation of AppleCare+, AppleCare One extends that same reliability and makes it easier than ever to protect the products you love and depend on," said Bob Borchers, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.
The company states customers can save up to $11 monthly compared to purchasing separate AppleCare+ plans for individual devices. The pricing remains consistent regardless of which products are covered under the plan.
AppleCare One allows customers to add devices they already own that are up to four years old, extending beyond the current 60-day window for AppleCare+ enrollment. Devices must be in good condition and may require diagnostic testing before inclusion in the plan.
The service includes automatic device management features. When customers trade in covered products directly to Apple, the old device is automatically removed from the plan and replaced with the new device. Users can add or remove products from their plan at any time.
Customers can sign up for AppleCare One through their iPhone, iPad, Mac, or at Apple Store locations. The information is based on a company press release.
